Temporary Internet files |
In Internet Explorer 3.x the temporary Internet files are common for all
user accounts. This means that if they are deleted in one user account then
the temporary Internet files from other accounts are deleted too. In
Internet Explorer 4.x and later versions the temporary Internet files are
separate for each user account. |
Internet cookies and UserData records |
In Internet Explorer 3.x the cookies are kept in one place for all
user accounts. Even so the Mil Shield can delete only the cookies of a
specific user account by using the user name prefixes of the cookie file
name and the cookie record in the mm256.dat and mm2048.dat files. In
Internet Explorer 4.0 and later versions the cookies are separate for
each user account. UserData records are supported by Internet Explorer 5
and later and are specific for each user account. |
Browse history records |
In Internet Explorer 3.x the history records are kept in one place for all
user accounts. Even so the Mil Shield can delete only the history records of a
specific user account by using the user name prefixes of the records in the
mm256.dat and mm2048.dat files. In Internet Explorer 4.0 and later versions the
history records are separate for each user account. |

Windows temporary files |
In Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me and Windows NT 4.0 there is
one place for the temporary files from all user accounts. In Windows
2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista the temporary files are placed in
different places for each user account. |

Recycle Bin |
In Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows Me Recycle Bin is one for all
user accounts. In Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista the Recycle Bin
is separate for each user account but only on NTFS disk volumes.
On FAT disk volumes the Recycle Bin is common for all user accounts on
all operating systems. |
